Giverny

With any luck, two weeks from now I’ll be on vacation in France. Oddly enough, I’m more excited about seeing small towns and villages than the big city of Paris.
Particularly Giverny, the village where Monet settled. Apparently, he was passing by on the train and saw the house and decided he wanted it. He built a garden there which inspired many of the paintings he created. The homes of artists are always cool to me because they need to be in aesthetically pleasing surroundings in order to thrive. We probably all do, but don’t realize it.
